Binance.US launched on 23rd September and has allowed American citizens to access the cryptocurrency services they lost access to prior to this. The new digital marketplace offers cryptocurrency trading services to users that have successfully completed the Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
Another one of the attractive features of this exchange is its commission-free trades for some of the primary cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and Binance Coin (BNB). The exchange initially launched with a limit number of digital assets to trade but Binance.US has added new tokens almost every week, including Algorand, Zcash, Chainlink, and many others. The list continues to grow.
Two more added to the list
The United States subsidiary of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange is now adding support for two more popular cryptocurrencies. On October 30, Binance.US announced that it will be listing NEO (NEO) and Cosmos (ATOM), which are among the top 20 coins by market capitalization. Users will be able to deposit the funds starting from 9:00 p.m. EST /6:00 pm PST on October 31st.
Cosmos is a blockchain-based platform which works as a medium between different blockchains. It had previously launched its first ecosystem hub in March 2019 after it raised $17.3 million in a token sale held on 27 April. Cosmos has a market cap of $593 million and is ranked in the 20th spot.
Neo is a decentralized open-source blockchain platform that lets you develop decentralized applications (dApp). Neo, which is also known as the Ethereum of China, became the first company from the blockchain industry to be a part of IT giant Microsoft’s open-source project, the .NET Foundation. Neo has a market cap of $753 million and holds the 18th spot.
Despite the Binance.US listing, both the coins haven’t seen any gain in their prices. Neo, in fact, was down 5%.
The performance of Binance.US has been quite impressive so far. The exchange was able to triple its liquidity which took them ahead of Winklevoss Twins Gemini exchange. Furthermore, On October 23rd 2019, Catherine Coley, the CEO of Binance.US, announced on twitter that the exchange had surpassed $10 million in daily trading volume for the first time, this is a huge milestone for any institution belonging to this industry.
