As Bitcoin continues to make a move towards its all-time high, the cryptocurrency community is seeing multiple international celebrities getting their hands on the world’s number one cryptocurrency.
Earlier this month, famous rapper Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, popularly known as Logic, whose records have topped the charts on many occasions noted that his manager Chris Zarou had convinced him to buy Bitcoin. At that time the rapper only noted that it was “a big investment in #bitcoin.”
Now, Logic has revealed that he has made a whopping $6 million investment in Bitcoin. The rapper took to his Instagram stories to brag about his massive investment, along with some reassuring statements, like “Fuck it” and “YOLO.”
Meanwhile, when a fan asked whether the ‘6’ million investment was actually closer to 9 million, he responded with “About,” suggesting that the total investment could actually be more than 6 million.
On the same day, he also went on Twitter:
Back when Logic made his big purchase, several members of the Twitter community considered it to be a bad time to get into bitcoin especially because the token had jumped more than $1500 the day before and a major correction could have changed the rapper’s views about the cryptocurrency.
However, that is not the case here. At the time of writing bitcoin is currently worth $18,272 and is up 53.5% over the past month. The rapper seems to be tasting profits already.
Furthermore, Logic has also changed the name of his Twitter account to “Bobby Bitcoin,” a reference to his alias Bobby Tarantino, hinting hint that he has put a lot of faith in the asset.
Nevertheless, his involvement with cryptocurrencies is great news for this relatively young industry, as 2.4 million of his fans on Twitter, and 6.7 million followers on Instagram would be exposed to this emerging asset class.
Maisie Williams Goes against the Grain
The reports come days after Game Thrones actress Maisie Williams, popularly known for playing Arya Stark, posted a poll, asking her 2.7 million fans whether she should “go long on Bitcoin”. While the poll saw 53.4% of the respondents recommending the actress not buy any cryptocurrency, she thanked her fans and those who advised her, adding “I bought some anyway.”
